A double doctorate at the age of 34, she brings to bear her knowledge as a physiologist and zoologist in an attempt to understand the creatures they fight and better develop ways to defeat them.

It takes her several months, but she finally demands to go into the field and proves herself, cementing her place on the team.

It's hardly love at first sight, but it's a functional relationship. Cami and Simon fit together well. They know how they think, how they move, what makes them laugh - Cami is more than content for now, and Simon is happy with how things are. They don't need to address it beyond that. Neither of them is in this for the long-term.
